Summary (100 words or less):

Designed as a teaching guide for educators, this WASH resource is part of the national curriculum that was launched in 2014. It helps teachers familiarise themselves with the topic of WASH as well as making suggestions for how WASH can be introduced into the classroom as part of everyday learning. The Guide includes key hygiene practices – including personal hygiene, menstrual hygiene management and the safe disposal of human waste – and ideas for teaching methods and strategies. Participation is the key feature of the Guide. In addition, it includes worksheets and suggested activities for in and out the classroom.
