School WASH programmes in Bangladesh: how much does it cost?: applying the life-cycle costs approach in selected upazilas, is a study looking at the costs for hygiene activities. Using 6 criteria (access, use, reliability, drinking water availability, environmental protection and menstrual hygiene management) it uses a school service level framework to evaluate the water, sanitation and hygiene services in 117 schools in 6 upazilas in Bangladesh, where the BRAC WASH in the Schools programme operates. It analyses expenditure data and concludes with the life-cycle costs of WASH in schools and cost benchmarks for a sustainable WASH services in schools.
